Great Grandma Emily Quilt

My Great Grandmother Emily had made the quilt top for me when I was ten. I found material to complement the top for the backing and then used stitch in the ditch to finish the quilt. The label has bictures of my great grandmother; her son, my grandfather; his son my dad; myself and my daughter. I added my granddaughter's picture to the label after she was born. Only took me 35 yrs to to it. LOL

Cars

My nephew Kaden was already 3 when I made this "Cars" quilt for him. I went on-line and downloaded pictures of the car characters and printed them onto fabric which I then used as blocks. Still using stitch in the ditch but this time actually had the seam lines to sew in.

Paddington Bear

I converted a cloth book print to a quilt for my nephew Nathen.

Care Bear with new sashes

ith this panel I cut off the blue sashes and sewed on the purple ones. I then quilted a heart design in the vertical sash for my niece McKenaie

Care Bear panel

I bought a couple of Care Bear panels. This first one I just stitched around the sashes on the panel for my nephew James

Dragonfly

y niece had mis-matched living room furniture that she wanted to pull together so she asked me to sew a Dragonfly wallhanging for her. I had no pattern and so did the best I could.

Lone Star

I used QuiltSmart printed interface to piece the Lone Star for my daughter.  My Aunt added the backing and quilted it for me. We both used the quilt as our wedding gift to Kathy
